His research is quite remarkable, and the results even more astounding. He details them in his latest book, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.fungi.com/books/stamets.html">Mycelium Running</a>.<br /><br />In this video clip, he talks about six very significant mushroom applications.<br /><br /><ul><li>Mushrooms sequester carbon dioxide.</li><li>Mushrooms can literally eat up oil spill-contaminated dirt and decontaminate farm waste before it reaches our water supply.</li><li>A mushroom extract has the most potent chemical against smallpox, and another against the flu virus.<br /></li><li>Mushrooms can save lumber from termites, carpenter ants, and other such pests, PERMANENTLY, so chemical sprays will no longer be necessary.</li><li>Mushrooms can help developing nations use very cheap resources for food.</li><li>Mushrooms produces ethanol more efficiently than from corn.</li></ul>If the video doesn't tell you enough, you can buy his book.
